Tinfoil pack meals are a super easy way to prep – and eat – for your next camping trip. The combinations of proteins, veggies, seasonings are endless and can suit just about anyone’s taste. This video from POPSUGAR Food features beef and assorted vegetables, full recipe below.
Classic Tinfoil Pack Meals
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon ketchup
- 2 red potatoes, cubed
- 1/2 yellow squash, diced
- 1/2 red onion, diced
- 1/2 green bell pepper, diced
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Cooking spray
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Cut two large squares of heavy duty aluminum foil. Spray each piece of tinfoil with cooking spray. Mix ground beef with worcestershire sauce and ketchup and divide into two patties. Place beef in the center of aluminum foil and then divide the rest of the vegetables evenly into each packet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Fold each packet up tightly around the entire meal. When ready to cook, place packets on an open fire for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the vegetables and meat are cooked through. Use tongs to remove from the fire, open the packets carefully, and top with shredded cheese. Serve immediately.
