Vying for Best Camping Light: Goal Zero Torch 250

Overview: The Torch 250 has really become one of Goal Zero’s bestsellers because it’s available now…today. It’s a “best camping light” besides being simply a little handy flashlight; it has awesome soft touch grip; it feels rugged and like it’s ready to go. Built in here you have a floodlight with a couple of different high/low settings. It also comes with spotlight high/low settings and then, of course, there is always the red light if you need to capture someone’s attention while you’re out. Super handy ways to charge this guy through the solar panel are built in, so you can leave this out on a window and it will keep charging itself up. There’s also  a hand crank in case of emergency; so you’re basically never without light. On top of all that, there’s a cable  if you want to charge it up from a USB, but it’s built in so you don’t have to worry about losing it.

You have some great hangers if you’re going to strap it up on a tent or something like that. Then, of course, USB output and there is a 4400 milliamp lithium ion battery inside this guy so you’re looking at getting about 2 charges on a cell phone. It’s really great for any kinds of emergencies. You can imagine people in Hurricane Sandy and their power is out and they just want to call their family to let them know they’re okay; this is the product they really needed.

Torch 250 is available now, $79.99 on www.GoalZero.com or in your favorite local outdoor retailer. It’s a pretty awesome light.
