Mountain Hardwear Men’s AP Pant

2016 Holiday Gift Guide
The North Face Men’s Paramount Peak II Convertible Pant

Mountain Hardwear Men’s AP Pant
The AP Pant is one of my favorite pants to wear out on a morning hike, as the reflective elements make me more visible in dim light. It’s also flexible enough that you can wear it bike riding or even rock climbing! I really like the cell phone pocket, and it’s dressy enough that you can wear it into the office!
$90.00

The North Face Men’s Paramount Peak II Convertible Pant
During one of my geocaching adventures I’ve encountered thick brush with these pants and have emerged without a scratch. The nylon is thick, yet it still feels lightweight.  The pockets are large, and fit my large screen smart phone quite well. For long hikes the legs detach—making this a great pant all year round.

2016 Holiday Gift Guide
Mountain Hardwear Men’s Seraction Jacket

2016 Holiday Gift Guide
Montane Deep Cold Down Jacket

Mountain Hardwear Men’s Seraction Jacket
This high performance jacket was designed in collaboration with alpinist/ice climber Tim Emmett. It features a unique waterproof-breathable technology that allows for sweat/moisture to wick away. I’m not an elite ice climber—more of a car camper, and it’s a delightful jacket to wear splitting logs for the campfire or for quick sprints on the trail. While splitting logs I noticed that the Seraction Jacket has a fantastic range of motion, and I wasn’t constricted like my old winter coat. It’s the perfect jacket for the athlete in your family!
$599.95

Montane Deep Cold Down Jacket
This jacket is reminiscent of the classic mountain jacket that my father wore, yet it’s not my father’s jacket. This is injected with modern day tech. The water resistant HyperDRY ECO goose down is encased in a water resistant PrimaLoft Silver ECO/tighly woven PERTEX Endurance outer shell will keep you warm and dry in even the harshest conditions. Available in 3 stylish colors: black, alpine red, and abyss blue.
